The 2007 tax year T4/T4A changes have now been released and installed on your systems. These changes include the new 3,4,6,10 T4/T4A Amended Statement Processing feature developed through the Manager Forums.

To Amended a T4/T4A you would adjust the employee's T4/T4A through the T4/T4A Statement Maintenance and then build a new separate print file and CRA file through this Amended process. The Amend process has its own T4/T4A files AM_###_FFORM#.Eyy and AM_###_AFORM#.Eyy where ### is an auto generated incrementing number so each Amend run is unique. The T4/T4A Statement Print, T4/T4A CRA File Changes and Inquiry and the T4/T4A XML Creation have all been modified to allow access to either the regular T4/T4A or selection of an Amended T4/T4A.

When ‘A’mended statement was selected:

Automatically, all Amended T4/T4A print files for this tax group and tax year are displayed, as shown below. You may scroll up and down to select the correct file.

This amended process will create a replacement CCCC_%%%%_YY_#####.TO_PDF file containing the modified T4/T4 email / web information. You would then regenerate the PDF file and email if applicable through the EMAIL T4/T4A Statement process. The code word AMENDED can be defined under the T4/T4A Tax Forms Format Profile for printing on the Amended print files for visual reference.
