Canadian Payroll Customers - Changes for April 1, 2009

PAYROLL CHANGES FOR APRIL 1, 2009

The following settings are based on the T4127-JUL –Payroll Deductions Formulas for Computer Programs – 89th Edition from Canada Revenue Agency, Effective April 1, 2009. There are only changes to the Federal Tax Tables and Federal Exemption codes. You would add the new federal tax tables and exemptions using a new effective date of April 2009 or 200904.

GLOBAL FEDERAL TAX TABLES (4,2,21.#)
 
The GLOBAL Federal Tax Tables values would be added using a new effective date of April 01, 2009.  Leave the existing Federal Tax Tables as is.  The new Federal Tax Table values should be as follows:

GLOBAL FEDERAL EXEMPTIONS (4,2,18.#)

Add the new Global Federal exemptions using the effective date of April 1, 2009.  Leave the existing Federal exemptions as is.  The following table details the exemption ranges and the exemption mid points.  It is up to each site to determine if they want to use the high end of each range or the mid point of each range as the exemption amounts.
